Ronald L Roderick

Son of Kenneth & Lois Roderick (D-3)

Ron grew up on the Huffman homestead with his brothers and sisters. He sang with them in a gospel group for several years and was a very talented musician. He graduated from Rossville High School and Illinois State University. He attended graduate school at the University of Illinois and Michigan State University. He taught high school music in Illinois and served as assistant director and acting director of residence halls at ISU. At MSU he was a resident advisor and for 17 years he served in the Office Of Financial Aid as assistant director, associate director and acting director. He later was involved full time in real estate management and development. Ron was active in church and Rotary Club. He married Wanda Walker on June 10, 1962 in Kentucky. They became foster parents of a special daughter, Celene. Ron died in a scuba diving accident in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
