Fauniel Ward

Fauniel E. (Smart) Ward May 26, 1915—Jan. 10, 2011 95 years

Wife of Thomas A. Ward, daughter of Mary (Huffman) Smart and Harvey Smart (F-1)

Fauniel was a very energetic, out-going lady. In her later years, she was very involved in making and selling crafts and was active in her community and the county fairs.

She endured operations and replacements on both shoulders, both knees, one ankle, and back surgery, but was never complaining about being in pain. She drove out to California many times in her van, even in her eighties! Her son, Tom and Julie took her to Hawaii and on other trips after she moved to California to be near them. Julie put together a really nice video, which she displayed at the visitation. It showed Fauniel’s early life and all the things she had done, even up to her last years.
